Vacutrux Limited in Elmira, Ontario, is seeking a shipping and receiving coordinator to oversee daily operations and ensure smooth flow of goods through the facility.

You will safely operate forklifts, manage inbound and outbound shipments, inspect goods, and prepare packing and shipping documentation, while aligning with production and purchasing to keep inventory accurate. This permanent full-time role offers benefits and an employer-sponsored RRSP plan.

Formación

• Experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred.
• High attention to detail with ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of major couriers and how to operate their software systems.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee receiving and processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Safely unload and load shipments with a forklift.
• Receive incoming packages and inspect goods.
• Sort, distribute and store incoming shipments.
• Review orders for discrepancies and notify production manager.
• Pick and pack parts and materials for shipping.
• Prepare documentation for shipments (labels, Bills of Lading, customs docs).
• Ensure shipment paperwork is accurate to prevent delays at customer location.
• Coordinate with Production Manager and Purchaser to maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and audits.

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility:

• Responsible for ensuring accurate and seamless reception and processing of incoming shipments, as well as outgoing shipments.
• Safe use of forklift to unload and load shipments
• Receive incoming packages and perform inspections of goods received.
• Sort, distribute and put away incoming shipments
• Review orders prior to processing. Note any discrepancies and bring them to the attention of the production manager
• Pick and pack parts and materials for shipping
• Prepare all necessary documentation for shipments not limited to but including shipping labels, Bills of Lading, customs documents etc.
• Review all necessary paperwork to ensure information included with the shipment is accurate to not impede the delivery process or cause uncertainty at the Customer’s receiving location
• Work closely with the Production Manager and Purchaser to ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits

Skills the ideal candidate has include:

• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes and other material handling equipment
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Working experience in Shipping and Receiving role preferred
• High attention to detail with ability to work independently
• Knowledge of major couriers – FedEx, Purolator, UPS etc. including how to operate their respective software packages
