Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to manage and optimize production schedules at their Kimberley facility. You will coordinate with manufacturing, procurement and sales to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient resource use.

The role focuses on developing and monitoring plans, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement in production processes within the Canadian industrial landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 2–4 years of production planning, scheduling, or operations support.
  • Experience with ERP systems and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to manage and optimize production schedules at their facility in Kimberley . This role is critical for ensuring efficient resource allocation, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to production targets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring production plans, collaborating closely with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations. This is a key position for driving operational efficiency and meeting market demands within the industrial landscape of the Northern Cape province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate production schedules, considering capacity, material availability, and customer order priorities.
  • Monitor production progress and identify any deviations from the plan, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production flow and minimize lead times.
