Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong CAD skills and understanding of mechanical design principles.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, and PLCs is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, throughput, and quality improvements.
  • Develop and implement mechanical solutions including automation and tooling upgrades.
  • Design, test, and commission new machinery and process equipment to support production.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes and provide training.
  • Utilize CAD software for designing modifications and new process equipment components.

Our client is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineer focused on manufacturing process improvement to join their facility in Kimberley. This role is central to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing operations. You will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement innovative mechanical solutions and automation strategies. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and possess a strong technical background in manufacturing environments within the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities
