Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Shelburne, Ontario, is seeking a Production Operator to operate production machinery and support daily operations. The role includes safe operation of forklifts, maintaining quality, and following SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers an excellent hourly wage of $21.22 with a wage increase after 3 months, company-paid life, health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, uniforms, safety shoe allowance, and a strong focus on teamwork and skills

Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts or heavy equipment is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Follow safety and food safety procedures at all times.
• Conduct routine cleaning to keep area and equipment in good order.
• Maintain accurate production records for quality control and tracking.
• Monitor product quality with regular inspections and adjustments.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet goals.
• Follow SOPs and guidelines for production processes.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery.
• Support production operations by safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Work safely at all times and follow plant safety and food safety procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning tasks to keep the production area and equipment in good working order.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for quality control and production tracking purposes.
• Monitor product quality by conducting regular inspections, making necessary adjustments, and conducting quality checks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address challenges effectively.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for production processes.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset.
• Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain high levels of attendance.
• Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.
• Previous manufacturing experience would be an asset.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.

Pay Rate: $21.22 hourly with wage increase after 3 months.
