Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions, a proudly Canadian, family-owned leader in sustainable manufacturing, is hiring a Plastics Forklift Operator in Ontario. You will safely operate forklifts, move materials, and support production lines in a fast-paced facility with 12-hour Continental shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years forklift operating experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Valid forklift license/certification (Counterbalance required; Reach/Walkie considered an asset).
• Experience operating heavy material handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities.
• Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with established safety and operational guidelines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Load, unload, and transport finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility.
• Supply production lines with required raw materials in a timely manner.
• Remove finished product from production lines and place in designated storage areas.
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and equipment; report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Handle materials carefully to prevent product damage and maintain quality standards.
• Ensure proper stacking, storage, and organization of materials and finished goods.
• Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled.
• Assist production lines as needed throughout the shift.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
