Job summary

McCain Foods (Canada) in Carberry, MB is seeking a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing operations in our Carberry plant. You will follow GMPs, operate equipment, monitor settings, and contribute to quality and sanitation standards while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates will be able to perform physical tasks, lift up to 44 lbs, climb stairs, and work a full-time schedule in a manufacturing environment with a safety-focused team.

We are currently seeking general production operators in our Carberry, MB plant.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follow good manufacturing practices


• Assist in driving continuous improvement in the production facility


• Measure and report equipment settings


• Complete and apply all aspects of Operator Asset Care (O.A.C.) in the work area


• Cleaning and inspection line checklists


• Meet or exceed required sanitation standard for work area: including scraping scales, sweeping floor, emptying damaged bags of product to waste barrels


• Operate equipment in a manner to produce high quality products and report any equipment problems to supervision


• Ensure timely, accurate records are maintained


• Check and record information and input into computer


• Clean-up/shut down duties: including deep cleaning on specific lines, sweeping, air hosing, chemical use, high pressure hosing


• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• Push/pull such as rolls of poly, high pressure hoses, garbage containers, vacuum, pallets and cases


• Lifting weight approximately 25-44 lbs., up to heights of 6 ft.


• Stair/ladder climbing as required


• Bending, crouching


• Standing for extended periods


• Continuous walking
