Job summary

McCain Produce Inc. is seeking a General Labourer to join our Lansdowne Potato Packing Facility in Centreville, NB. The role supports production, maintains product quality, and ensures a safe work environment in a facility that operates about 10 months per year with a summer shutdown.

You will follow safety rules, assist with sorting, packaging, and movement of potatoes, and help keep the area clean. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varying shifts including

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality requirements.
• Sort, grade, inspect, and package potatoes according to established standards.
• Remove rocks, debris, defective products, and foreign material from production lines.
• Perform material handling duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with product movement and packaging operations throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping and sanitation activities.
• Monitor product quality and report concerns to supervisors.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.
• Participate in team meetings and training as required.
• Assist with equipment operation and report maintenance concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Role

McCain Produce Inc. is currently seeking a General Labourer to join our team at the Lansdowne Potato Packing Facility. This facility operates approximately 10 months each year, with a seasonal shutdown during the summer months. As a General Labourer, you will play an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting production operations, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Compensation Package:

Starting at $18.50 CAD hourly
