Canada Packers Inc. is seeking an Animal Care Technician at Paradigm Farms Sow in Petersfield, MB. This full-time role involves hands-on pig care, maintaining herd health, and ensuring a safe, clean environment on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

You’ll work with a dedicated team, follow SOPs, and contribute to production goals while receiving competitive compensation, benefits, a pension plan, vacation, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in Canada; eligibility may be requested.
• Willing to work weekend/holiday/shifts on a rotational basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural location.

• Experience in hog production is an asset.

Responsibilities

About This Opportunity

Location: Paradigm Farms Sow (Petersfield, MB)

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.

Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

Responsibilities

• Feeding and providing general care for pigs.
• Maintaining herd health and clean and safe environment for pigs.
• Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry.
• Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
• Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication.
• Following all health and safety policies and adhering to Canada Packers’ SOPs for humane animal treatment.

Skills & Experience

• Availability for weekend, holiday, and alarm shifts on a rotational basis.
