Canada Packers Inc. is seeking individuals to join our Peak Pork Finisher team in Saint Malo, MB. The role involves caring for pigs, maintaining health and cleanliness, and supporting production on rotating shifts.

Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with full-time, 40 hours/week. Benefits include health and pension offerings, vacation, and bonus opportunities. Overtime may be available and is paid accordingly.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in Canada at time of application (proof may be requested).
• Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Experience in animal care or hog production is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Feed and provide general care for pigs on a daily basis.
• Maintain herd health and a clean, safe environment for pigs.
• Pressure wash and prepare rooms for animal entry.
• Perform minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
• Complete clerical duties like updating door charts and inventory trackers.

About this opportunity:

Location:Peak Pork Finisher(Saint Malo, MB)
Employment Type:Full-time (40 hours/week)
Salary:Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.
Schedule:Rotating shifts that include weekends, holidays, and occasional alarm response.

Responsibilities:

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Feeding and providing general care for pigs.
• Maintaining herd health and clean and safe environment for pigs.
• Pressure washing and preparing rooms for animal entry.
• Performing minor maintenance and sanitation tasks.
• Completing clerical duties such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication.
• Following all health and safety policies and adhering to Canada Packers' SOPs for humane animal treatment.

Skills & Experience:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Proof of eligibility may be requested during the recruitment process.

• Commitment to wearing proper PPE and following safety protocols.
• Availability for weekend, holiday, and alarm shifts on a rotational basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural location.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Alignment with Canada Packers' Leadership Values and Code of Conduct.
• Experience in hog production is an asset.
