Job summary

Canada Packers, Souris Feed Mill, is seeking a Production Operator to join a collaborative team producing high-quality animal feed. You will operate equipment, support daily production, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role includes rotating shifts (weekends/holidays) and requires willingness to learn, teamwork, and independence. Starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement within a values-based, safety-focused workplace.

About This Opportunity

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.

Are you looking for a hands‑on role where you can be part of a team that keeps things moving? As a Production Operator at Canada Packers, you’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality animal feed in a safe, efficient, and team‑driven environment.

This position is part of a collaborative team that includes maintenance technicians and truck drivers, all working together to meet daily production goals. If you enjoy working with machines, solving problems, and being part of a fast‑paced operation, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

As a Production Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating equipment and supporting daily feed production. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed
• Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks
• Following manufacturing practices & safety policies
• Following housekeeping standards
• Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets
• Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
• Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance
• Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications
• Measuring & weighing of ingredients
• Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety

Skills & Experience
