Job summary

Schlumberger Limited in Lloydminster, AB is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead a Pro-Rod Micro Plant, manage inventory, dispatch trucks and oversee field services, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate with manufacturing and third-party contractors, maintain accurate records, and mentor a team while ensuring on-time delivery and quality, in a day-shift heavy environment with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in a Pro-Rod Coiled Rod Micro Plant
• Accountable for all aspects of the Pro-Rod Micro-Plant and field services
• Order taking with on-time delivery and invoicing
• Dispatching Internal Rod Haul Trucks & Field Welders
• Inventory management of new and customer inspected product
• Operate Overhead Crane, Fire blade Welder & other Micro Plant Equipment
• Communicate with Edmonton Pro-Rod manufacturing for inventory and market changes
• Coordinate with 3rd party contractors and manage consignment inventory
• Develop and maintain leadership and communication with peers, customers, contractors, and vendors
• Assist with admin to resolve discrepancies
• Back up for Operations Supervisor
• Promote Safety, Integrity, CI, Quality, Respect for People, and Customer Service
• May perform field welding as needed

What You Will Do:

• Provide leadership in a Pro-Rod Coiled Rod Micro Plant
• Accountable for all aspects of the Pro-Rod Micro-Plant and field services. Includes but not limited to:
  • Order taking, including accurate on-time product delivery and timely invoicing
  • Dispatching Internal Rod Haul Trucks & Field Welders
  • Accurate inventory management of new product as well as customer inspected product
  • Operate Overhead Crane, Fire blade Welder & other Micro Plant Equipment as required.
• Communicate with Edmonton Pro-Rod manufacturing to ensure adequate inventory levels and communicate changing market conditions.
• Communicate with 3rd party contractors engaged in providing services on behalf of Pro-Rod, as well as maintain accurate consignment inventory where applicable.
• Establish, develop and maintain effective leadership and communication with Peers, customers, potential customers, 3rd party contractors, and Vendors.
• Whenever required, assist with Admin to resolve any discrepancies.
• Backup support for Operations Supervisor.
• Participates in, promotes and practices Safety, Integrity, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Respect for People, and Customer Service & Satisfaction.
• May be required to perform field welding on an as needed basis

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Drug and alcohol testing
• Fitness-to-work testing
• Working at the Lloydminster facility dominantly
• Working on customer sites or remote locations occasionally
• Permanent
• Full-time
• Mainly working day shift operations, with overtime as required
• Weekend or night shift may be required dependent on business conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous Oilfield Experience an asset
• Previous leadership experience required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic experience with Microsoft office suite.
• Post secondary education an asset
