Job summary

PTI Transformers in Regina is seeking a Power Assembler to join our Assembly team. You will work as part of a team assembling transformer components, performing core and clamp assembly, installing coils and head steel, and preparing units for final assembly.

We value hands-on workers who take pride in quality workmanship and safety. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable following technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • 6+ months experience in manufacturing and/or related hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of hand tools.
  • Ability work at sustained pace and produce quality work.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble transformer core and clamp components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Install coils, head steel, and supporting components during the transformer assembly process.
  • Complete HV and LV terminations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare transformer tanks, including installation and fit-up of required components.
  • Perform inspections, maintain a safe work area, and follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Performing other duties as allocated.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Assemble transformer core and clamp components according to drawings and specifications.

  • Install coils, head steel, and supporting components during the transformer assembly process.

  • Complete High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) terminations while maintaining quality standards.

  • Prepare transformer tanks, including installation and fit-up of required components.

  • Perform inspections, maintain a safe work area, and follow all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

  • Performing other duties as allocated.
