Smythe LLP is seeking an experienced and business-minded Product Owner to join our growing Digital team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic professional who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, helping shape digital solutions that improve client experiences, streamline operations, and deliver measurable business value.

This role is based in our Vancouver office, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment following the completion of the probationary period.

The Opportunity

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and maintaining the vision, roadmap, and priorities for enterprise business applications and digital products that support Smythe's strategic objectives. Working closely with business leaders, vendors, and delivery teams, you will identify opportunities to improve business processes, user experiences, and business outcomes through technology-enabled solutions.

You will serve as the bridge between business and technology, translating organizational goals into actionable product plans, requirements, and priorities while ensuring product investments and development efforts deliver measurable value.

This opportunity is ideal for a collaborative, analytical, and results-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing product strategy, and driving successful delivery across enterprise applications and digital platforms.

In this role, you will:
  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmaps, priorities, and delivery objectives for enterprise applications and digital products
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, client experiences, operational efficiency, data quality, and business outcomes through technology solutions
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and align product initiatives, enhancements, and investments with business objectives and strategic priorities
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and defect remediation activities
  • Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and release planning
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and solution requirements
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, QA professionals, vendors, and implementation partners to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions
  • Validate completed work against approved requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure intended business outcomes are achieved
  • Support enterprise applications, including CRM, ERP, client-facing portals, workflow solutions, reporting platforms, and integrated business systems
  • Communicate product plans and support change management, training, and user adoption activities associated with product releases and enhancements
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement across products, processes, and delivery practices
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or in a related role
  • Experience delivering enterprise application implementations, enhancements, or business transformation initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ERP platforms, client-facing portals, systems integrations, APIs, data governance, or master data management
  • Experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders, software development teams, vendors, and implementation partners
  • Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements management, systems integration, and enterprise solution delivery
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on business value and strategic objectives
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with business process mapping, solution design, and requirements documentation
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, systems integration, and enterprise data management practices
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, automation, or AI-enabled business initiatives
  • Degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • CSPO, PSPO, CBAP, PMP, or other relevant certifications are considered an asset
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work from our Vancouver office, with a hybrid schedule available following probation
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, stakeholder needs, and delivery timelines in a dynamic environment
