Job summary

Best Buy Canada is looking for a Product Data Specialist to manage product information, improve data quality, and optimize categories across our digital channels. You will collaborate with Product Data, Merchandising, Operations, and Technology to drive AI-driven improvements while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role supports remote-first work, with in-person collaboration at our Vancouver, BC head office for strategic work.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience using approved AI tools responsibly, including writing clear prompts, grounding outputs in trusted source information, and reviewing results for accuracy, completeness, relevance, and compliance.
  • Ability to recognize AI limitations and know when human validation or escalation is required.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with product information, product content, e-commerce data, product data management, merchandising, business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting product data audits, enrichment, taxonomy or hierarchy updates, attribute and facet management, or category improvement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Product Information Management systems such as STEP or MIRAKL, Microsoft Excel, product attributes, lists of values, facets, classification, and data quality principles.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage defined initiatives and collaborate across technical, operational, merchandising, and business teams.
  • French language proficiency is considered an asset.
