Best Buy Canada is hiring two Category Leaders to drive a category strategy, profitability, and product excellence from our Lower Mainland Vancouver area with a remote-first approach and in-person collaboration.

You will partner with senior leaders to set a long-term vision, establish budgets, and lead assortment, pricing, and promotions for sustained growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with retail buying, inventory, and planning.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, business acumen, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a long-term strategic vision for the business with senior leaders and set objectives.
• Establish an annual budget reflecting market conditions and set product, cost, and pricing.
• Negotiate Vendor Master Agreements (VMAs) and Annual Vendor Programs.
• Determine assortment strategy for the category (in-store & online) using market knowledge.
• Create and maintain a SKU-level forecast for assortment, pricing, and promotions.
• Determine promotional signage and sign-off for content accuracy.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.

What you’ll do:
