Job summary

InVision Staffing Services Inc. is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Lead for a leading manufacturing client in Ontario. You will lead end-to-end procurement, supplier qualification, strategic sourcing, and performance initiatives to ensure cost, quality, delivery, and continuity of supply.

You will also oversee materials planning, demand forecasting, S&OP, and production planning while mentoring the purchasing team and driving process improvements.

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization is looking to hire a Procurement & Supply Chain Lead to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for direct and indirect materials.
• Source, qualify, and manage suppliers to ensure cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracts, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Supply Chain Planning

• Lead materials planning, inventory management, and replenishment activities.
• Support demand forecasting, S&OP processes, and production planning.
• Analyze supply trends to prevent shortages and optimize inventory levels.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to improve planning accuracy.

Manufacturing & Leadership Support

• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure material availability and production readiness.
• Support new product launches, engineering changes, and component transitions.
• Mentor purchasing team members and improve procurement processes and best practices.
• Monitor key metrics including supplier performance, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and delivery performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials management.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, hardware, industrial technology, or similar environments.
• Strong experience with global suppliers, materials planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring teams, and driving process improvements.
• Proficiency with MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
