The Mosaic Company is seeking a Process Operator Technician at Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan, to monitor refinery and minefield processes and adjust operation parameters for safety and efficiency. As a Process Operator Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations by monitoring refinery and minefield processes and making necessary adjustments. Our Process Operator Technician Training Program provides structured progression through multiple production areas and offers the opportunity to earn a Journeyperson Trade Certification, supporting your long‑term career development. Our operations began in 1964 and was the first, and the largest, potash solution mine in the world. Belle Plaine's potash is white due to the unique solution mining techniques. The on‑site dry product warehouse capacity is 250,000 tons. The transportation of outgoing products is by rail and truck to deliver to farmers around the world. These products are used in agriculture and in a variety of industrial environments. Safety is our #1 priority. We adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Mosaic’s rigorous safety standards to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
Independently monitor process conditions and equipment operation such as flows, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, pressure vessels, dryers, centrifuges, elevators, conveyors, compactors, screens, etc.
Make changes to process set points to improve refinery efficiency and/or avoid upset conditions.
Collect, analyze and interpret results of process samples.
Identify maintenance work/issue work requests and perform housekeeping duties.
Assist in training new area operators and participation in Mosaic's safety programs.
As Safety is our #1 priority, you will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) based on the work being performed. Some of the required PPE includes: Hard Hat Ear Plugs Dust Mask Safety Glasses Welding Gloves Welding Hood Steel‑Toed Footwear.
