Job summary

The Federated Co-operatives Limited is recruiting Process Operators for the Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, Saskatchewan. This full-time, on-site role involves 12-hour day and night shifts, with an average of 37.33 hours per week across a 9-week cycle.

You will join a team of Master Operators and Process Supervisors to operate and maintain refinery processes, participate in semi-heavy maintenance, and adapt to shift work within a relief pool. Training programs are included to ensure competence.

Qualifications

• Grade 12, Part A and B coursework from an approved 4th class Power Engineering program with interprovincial exams.
• Superior mechanical aptitude and ability to perform semi-heavy physical work.
• Willingness to complete required training program.
• Honesty, reliability and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform related duties on shift; undertake semi-skilled maintenance tasks.

Description

The Co-op Refinery Complex is hiring Process Operators on a permanent basis to be a part of our Process Operations team. This position requires on-site work and is located in Regina, SK.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time shift-based position. Shift schedules may vary based on operational and staffing requirements and include 12-hour day and night shifts. Employees work an average of 37.33 hours per week, averaged over a 9-week cycle.

Our Co-op Refinery Complex processes up to 130,000 barrels of crude oil every day, distributing up to 17 million liters of fuel every day to Co-op Gas bars and Cardlocks throughout Western Canada. What you’ll do:

• You will effectively carry out operating and related duties on shift work as well as a variety of semi-skilled maintenance responsibilities involving semi-heavy physical work.
• Work schedules will involve both shift and day work programs. These may not be scheduled consecutively as the individuals will be required to work out of the Relief Pool.
• Other duties as required.

• You have a Grade 12, part A and B course content from an approved 4th class Power Engineering education program and part A and B interprovincial exams. A mechanical engineering degree will be considered in lieu of part A and B course content with requirement to successfully complete interprovincial exams within probationary period.
• You must have superior mechanical aptitude, be physically fit with demonstrated ability to perform semi-heavy physical work and have personality traits to be able to adapt to shift work with an operating crew.
• You must be available to complete the training program.
