Job summary

Mosaic is seeking a Superintendent, Process Engineering & Process Control for its Colonsay, SK operation. Lead process engineers, optimize milling operations, and drive automation initiatives across PLC, DCS, and HMI/SCADA platforms.

You will guide process optimization, troubleshoot operations, monitor KPIs, and support capital projects to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance at the Colonsay potash operation.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./B.Eng. or M.Sc./M.Eng. in Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of industrial process engineering experience, preferably in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry.
• Experience leading technical teams in an operational environment.
• P.Eng. designation (APEGS) or eligibility.
• Strong expertise in process optimization, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and capital projects.
• Experience with process control systems; DeltaV, OSIsoft PI, and SPC are assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineers and support optimization of milling operations through troubleshooting, process improvement, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Drive debottlenecking, capacity expansion, product quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Provide capital project support and develop operational improvement plans.
• Oversee process control systems (PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA) and advance automation and control strategies.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, automation and instrumentation teams; share best practices across Mosaic sites.

Superintendent, Process Engineering & Process Control | Colonsay, SK | Mosaic

Mosaic, a global leader in phosphate and potash production, is seeking a Superintendent, Process Engineering & Process Control to lead process engineering and automation efforts at its Colonsay potash operation.

This role provides leadership for process engineers and supports optimization of milling operations through troubleshooting, process improvement, KPI monitoring, continuous improvement, and technical guidance. Key responsibilities include debottlenecking, capacity expansion, product quality enhancement, cost reduction initiatives, capital project support, and development of operational improvement plans.

The Superintendent also oversees process control systems, including PLC, DCS, and HMI/SCADA platforms. The role drives automation and process control initiatives, supports control strategy development, alarm management, and standardization efforts, and works closely with operations, maintenance, automation, and instrumentation teams. Collaboration with other Mosaic potash sites is expected to share best practices and strengthen engineering capabilities across the business.
