Job summary

Alterna Savings is seeking a Community Business Banking Officer to drive outbound contact with members and clients, understand their cash management and day-to-day banking needs, and grow share of wallet through proactive referrals.

You will deliver solutions across credit and investment products, qualify opportunities, and collaborate with internal partners to optimize client outcomes. A strong sales mindset and financial advisory capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education with 3 years related financial experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales targets by delivering products and services that puts the members/clients’ needs first.
• Proactively promote/sell and deliver a full range of banking products and services to meet members/clients’ needs.
• Follow sales and service model by attending branch meetings, huddles, initiatives and campaigns.
• Maximizes sales opportunities by using effective sales interviewing skills that uncover longer term financial needs.
• Provide financial advice for investment/credit needs using Alterna’s calculators.
• Acquire and refer high value relationships to IAs, SME and external partners.
• Maintain knowledge of all products and procedures and stay updated on changes.
