Alterna Savings is seeking a dynamic Personal Banking Associate at our Hamilton Branch to drive member value through trusted advice, cash management, and cross-selling of banking products. You will engage with members, balance cash, and support the branch in achieving sales goals while upholding our service standards.

The role emphasizes a proactive, customer-focused approach with strong banking product knowledge and collaboration with the MSR and Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education plus a minimum 2 years experience in a sales environment or equivalent.
• Experience in financial services or sales is an asset.
• Knowledge of investments, loans, and basic banking products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follows sales and service processes and meets sales targets.
• Cross-sell and upsell opportunities during member interactions.
• Provide education and advice on basic transactional banking and simpler lending/credit situations.
• Handle cash, balancing, and basic administrative duties with accuracy.
• Refer high value members to appropriate branch staff when needed.
• Participate in branch meetings and sales campaigns.
