Job summary

Alterna Savings Scarborough is seeking a Personal Banking Advisor to manage a member book and meet their financial needs using a full suite of Alterna products and services. You will coordinate with Wealth Management and SME teams to deliver tailored credit and investment solutions.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education with 5 years related experience in a financial institution or equivalent
• CSC or IFIC course completed with ability to be licensed
• CFP or PFP designation or in progress
• At a minimum 2 years of financial advisory experience and demonstrated relationship building experience
• Proven track record in sales

Responsibilities

• Manages an assigned portfolio of members using financial planning concepts, advisory and relationship tools to meet all members' complex credit/investment needs
• Establishes regularly scheduled contacts with members/clients to identify needs
• Keeps files on member relationships with goals and action plans
• Acts as branch liaison with Wealth Management and SME representatives
• Manages portfolio with other specialists in Alterna
• Provides financial advice using planning tools
• Mentors less experienced staff under Branch Manager
• Acts as branch centre of expertise on financial calculators and complex portfolio solutions
• Maintains strong relationships with alliance partners
• Deals with referrals based on complexity of requests
