Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education plus 3 years in financial institution or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • CSC or IFIC course is an asset.
  • Continuing education in Financial Planning or similar programs.
  • Experience providing credit solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Meets sales targets by delivering products and services that meet members' needs.
  • Promote/sell a full range of banking products and services.
  • Attend and participate in branch meetings, huddles, campaigns.
  • Maximize sales opportunities using effective interviewing to uncover needs.
  • Provide financial advice for investment/credit needs using Alterna calculators.
  • Acquire and refer high-value relationships to IA, SME and partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products/services and update on policy changes.

ScopeofPosition

The Community Business Banking Officer (CBBO) is the lead role involved in outbound, banker-initiated contact of members/clients using in branch renewal lists, branch and marketing lead lists for Personal and community small business members/clients. The focus of this role is to contact and meet with designated members/clients in an effort to understand and meet their overall day to day banking and cash management needs, consolidate share of wallet and refer to more senior bankers as required. Sales are driven by appointments generated from the pro-active calling and up selling of referrals that have been provided by other sales professionals.

  • Maintainaworkingknowledgeandunderstandingofallproductsandservicesweofferandkeepuptodatewithproceduralchanges.
  • Understandandapplyrisk-basedpricingmodelsanduserationalpricingdiscretiontoensureeverycustomerisprofitable.
