Plooto is seeking a Manager, Privacy & Regulatory Compliance to lead privacy initiatives as the business scales AI, automation, and data‑driven innovation. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, People, and Operations to implement practical, proportionate privacy controls.

The role emphasizes hands‑on privacy work, risk assessment, and the development of scalable governance across Canada, with a focus on responsible AI and enterprise risk management support.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of hands-on privacy experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Canadian privacy requirements (PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25).
• Experience with Privacy Impact Assessments and privacy incidents.
• Ability to translate complex privacy requirements into practical actions.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies with privacy governance awareness.
• Clear written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Plooto’s privacy program.
• Provide practical privacy guidance to the business.
• Lead privacy assessments for new products, features, and vendors.
• Help shape responsible AI approaches with scalable methods.
• Embed privacy by design with product, engineering, and security teams.
• Manage data rights requests, privacy incidents, and cross‑border data considerations.
• Support Enterprise Risk Management rollout and broader regulatory compliance.
• Track regulatory changes and third‑party risk activities.
