Job summary

Interac Corp. is seeking a Privacy Lead to advance the Privacy Office's program, translating regulatory requirements into practical controls across the organization. You will partner with Legal, Security, and business units to drive privacy by design in processes and products.

The role requires senior privacy experience, a relevant IAPP credential, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, regulated environment while delivering measurable privacy improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Senior privacy experience in a complex organization such as a financial institution, payments company, technology company, or fintech.
• IAPP certification (CIPP/C or CIPM) required.
• Experience developing privacy roadmaps to support compliance with privacy laws.
• Experience implementing privacy programs in evolving regulatory landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Operationalize Interac Privacy Management Program with action items, roadmaps, timelines, and privacy controls.
• Lead cross-functional privacy forums and align business strategy with privacy requirements.
• Engage with Vendor Management Office for privacy assessments and remediation.
• Draft audit responses and support investigations with stakeholders.
• Stay current with privacy laws (PIPEDA, CASL, Privacy Act) and draft enterprise communications.
