The successful candidate will provide leadership to staff, collaborate with the District Education Authority, and ensure effective use of technology for attendance and demographics.

Qualifications

• N.W.T. Professional Teaching Certificate (or eligible)
• N.W.T. Principal Certification (or willing to complete Leadership Program)
• Minimum five years teaching experience
• Demonstrated successful educational leadership
• Ability to use technology including school-based attendance and demographics
• Experience in cross-cultural and multi-grade classrooms
• Experience in Inclusive Schooling leadership
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Superior administrative and organizational skills
• Additional education including a master's in education and leadership qualifications from other provinces and territories are assets

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff and work with the District Education Authority (DEA)
• Lead Liidlii Kue Elementary School within a term (1–5 years)
• Oversee attendance and student demographics using school-based applications
• Promote inclusive schooling and cross-cultural instruction
• Collaborate with the DEA and communities to support student success
