Salary and Benefits:According to the provincial salary grid (www.stf.sk.ca )plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.
Qualifications:

  • Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
  • Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum,environment and assessment
  • Knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently

The Preferred Candidate will have:

  • Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
  • Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
  • Minimum of five years of successful administrative
  • Experience at the elementary, middle, and secondary years level
  • Graduate academic training in school administration
  • Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to the schools plus/community schools and safe schools concept
