Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School in Williams Lake, BC, invites applications for a 1.0 FTE Elementary School Principal for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 1, 2026, with potential for continuation based on performance. The Principal will support the mission and collaborate with the school’s Administrative team under the direction of the Superintendent.

Preference will be given to candidates with active parish membership, strong Catholic education commitment, at least 5 years of elementary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of successful elementary teaching experience.
• Preferably within BC Catholic schools.
• Strong understanding and application of CISKD and BC MOE priorities, policies and procedures.
• Experience with innovative teaching methods in primary and intermediate classrooms, including remote learning experiences.
• Ability to supervise and mentor teachers related to instructional planning, assessment and evaluation.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development aligned with school, Ministry and CISKD priorities.
• Master's degree in related field or pursuing such studies; TRB certification a plus.
