Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Principal Geologist to provide technical leadership for mining projects, focusing on resource modeling, estimation, and QP oversight. The role supports business development, mentoring, and staff growth, with a primary focus on Reno team while open to Vancouver, BC or Saskatoon, SK candidates.

Ideal candidates bring 15–20 years in geology, strong modeling software skills, and professional designations (P.G., P.Geo, or CPG).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in geology or geological engineering.
• 15–20 years of applied geology experience across the mining value chain.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software and data analytics tools.
• Professional designation such as P.G. or P.Geo (Canada) and/or CPG (AIPG).

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to complex mining projects delivering technical guidance.
• Provide mentorship, staff development, and recruitment support.
• Support business development, proposals, and client relationship management.
• Represent RESPEC at industry events and professional engagements.
