Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Principal Data Scientist, Agentic AI Technical Lead in Canada. This senior role drives the technical direction of a large-scale agentic AI program, balancing innovation with production practicality.

You will oversee multiple AI workstreams, define reference architectures, and guide problem framing, evaluation, and deployment, partnering with executives to shape the AI roadmap and governance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in data science and AI/ML with production-scale impact.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery across multiple workstreams or large AI programs.
• Proven ability to manage technical dependencies, risks, and architectural decisions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication with executives and clients.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic AI systems, including prompt engineering and tool calling.
• Strong expertise in model evaluation, experimentation design, and evaluation methodologies for AI systems.
• Advanced Python skills and proficiency across modern data science technologies.
• Extensive MLOps and AI infrastructure experience, including deployment automation and monitoring.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and distributed systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight across all agentic AI workstreams from problem framing to deployment and operation.
• Define the technical strategy and architecture for agentic AI systems, including multi-agent orchestration and vector databases.
• Coordinate delivery across teams, manage blockers, risks, and ensure quality and velocity.
• Establish standards for model development, evaluation, and transition to production.
• Design evaluation frameworks covering quality, safety, cost, latency, and performance.
• Develop scalable ML platforms, event-driven architectures, and workflow orchestration.
• Ensure reliability, security, observability, and production debugging for AI systems.
• Serve as the senior technical representative to executives and clients, communicating progress and risks.
