Job summary

InCycle Software is seeking a Principal AI Architect in Canada to own the architecture behind Azure-native AI and agentic systems for enterprise clients. You will define how LLMs, agent frameworks and Azure services come together into production platforms with strong security, reliability and cost controls.

This hands-on role requires leading reference implementations, guiding engineering teams, and making calls that keep systems observable and affordable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and architecture, with hands-on Azure delivery.
• Proven experience architecting production AI/agentic systems with real users.
• Deep command of Azure platform and related AI services including governance tooling.
• Familiarity with agent ecosystems and MCP, LangGraph or similar.
• Strong API design, containers, CI/CD and IaC (Bicep/Terraform).
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to executives and clients, in English.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Azure-hosted AI platforms with single/multi-agent and human-in-the-loop orchestration.
• Lead solution design on Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI; optimize for RAG, vector indexing and search.
• Set standards for prompt/tool orchestration, MCP integrations, guardrails and evaluation.
• Architect services around models using AKS, API Management, Event Grid, Service Bus, databases.
• Ensure Canadian data residency with regional deployment and private endpoints.
• Build observability, cost controls, latency budgets and governance for enterprise reviews.
• Mentor engineers, perform design reviews and contribute to tooling and development practices.
• Represent the technical vision to customers and partners, including Microsoft Canada.
