THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

As a Principal Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the clients’ complex challenges into elegant solutions. That means a collaborative, iterative experience that realizes a collective vision to optimize environments and empower people.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and work with clients across Canada, with a focus on the residential and multi-family sectors in Calgary and Alberta.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Design Excellence: Lead the design process and develop architectural concepts that embrace Calgary’s urban and natural environment. Create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions that exceed client expectations.
  2. Project Management: Oversee all phases of architectural projects, including planning, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with codes and regulations.
  3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with interior designers, engineers, and contractors to integrate various design disciplines into cohesive solutions.
  4. Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, understand their vision, and provide expert advice throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior architects, promote innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Architecture; Master’s preferred; valid license to practice in Canada.
  • AAA Registered.
  • 8+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, especially in multi-family and residential sectors.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating integration of natural elements, sustainability, and functionality.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
