Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced AI/ML Platform Engineer to design and deliver enterprise AI solutions in a Canadian context. The role focuses on building agentic AI systems, scalable orchestration, vector databases, and governance for multi-domain applications.

The candidate will work with cloud-native architectures, ensure observability and responsible AI practices, and engage senior technology leaders across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven software engineering experience with large-scale AI/ML platforms.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise AI solutions and multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise AI/ML platforms for large organizations.
• Architect and deliver large-scale AI solutions and agentic AI systems.
• Develop AI applications using agentic frameworks and tool chains (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel).
• Design scalable orchestration layers, tool libraries, and governance for AI systems.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation and vector databases.
• Create extensible AI platform architectures supporting multiple domains and use cases.
• Maintain cloud-native, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices for AI platforms.
• Apply AI observability, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Communicate with senior leaders and architects; apply Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid delivery.

Role Description

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Good years of software engineering experience, including Good years designing and building enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale AI solutions, Agentic AI systems, AI platforms, or multi-agent frameworks in enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of the Agentic AI ecosystem including agent orchestration, planning, reasoning, tool calling, memory management, retrieval systems, and autonomous workflows.
• Hands-on expertise building AI applications using frameworks and platforms such as Google ADK, LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agentic frameworks.
• Strong experience designing scalable orchestration layers, tool libraries, context management frameworks, observability solutions, and governance controls for AI systems.
• Expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, enterprise knowledge systems, and document intelligence platforms.
• Experience designing extensible and reusable AI platform architectures capable of supporting multiple business use cases and domains.
• Strong software engineering background in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and platform engineering.
• Deep understanding of AI observability, monitoring, evaluation frameworks, model governance, security, and responsible AI principles.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior technology leaders and architects. Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 130,000 Per Year
