We are seeking a Principal Advisor, Business Analysis to actively contribute to value-creating opportunities for the Business & Technology Support Business Analysis team. This role supports the senior leadership team by providing high-quality financial support and strategic insight across various functions, including Information Systems & Technology, Closure, Decarbonisation, and Exploration.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-performing team, gain significant exposure to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and interact with diverse Business Units within a global business environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Analysis, you will engage with Senior Leaders to identify, advise, and evaluate capital and commercial proposals, ensuring maximized value for the organization. Your responsibilities will include generating, evaluating, and building business cases for new development opportunities and strategic initiatives. Additionally, you will prepare and review Business Analysis submissions to the Business and Technology Support Investment Committee (BTIC), providing insights on commercial issues, risks, and opportunities.
Supporting planning and capital performance management processes, including capital prioritization, will also be key aspects of your role. You will provide trusted advisory support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), influencing and advising on relevant commercial matters. Pursuing innovative evaluation techniques, such as intangible valuation of technology, and maintaining high integrity by applying commercial rigor and discipline to all business decisions and stakeholder relationships, will be crucial for success in this position.
