Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Prince Rupert Health Unit to deliver compassionate patient care within a primary care setting. You will work under supervision in accordance with BCCNM standards, collaborating with an interprofessional team to provide safe and ethical care across physicians’ practices, homes, schools, and communities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nursing and registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One (1) year recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current valid BC Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments, plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to clients.
• Provides care according to the primary care plan developed with the interprofessional team.
• Works within the interprofessional team to support patient goals of care.
• Maintains documentation and communicates changes to the care team
