Job summary

Northern Health in Prince Rupert is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Primary Care team. You will provide compassionate nursing care in physician practices, homes, schools, and communities, aligned with interprofessional care plans and BC CNM standards.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, with a focus on safe, ethical care and collaboration within an interprofessional team, under supervision of the Primary Care Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nursing and registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One year recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, safe, and ethical care following primary care plan and interprofessional team.
• Perform assessments, plans, implementations and nursing care.
• Maintain communication with clients and families, in writing and verbally.
