Job summary

Cardinal Health Canada is seeking a Consultant, Pricing Operations & Controls to monitor pricing performance, profitability, compliance and controls across the pricing lifecycle. This role analyzes trends, investigates root causes, and drives corrective actions to protect gross profit and reduce customer impact.

The two-day hybrid position reports to the Vaughan Head Office and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to keep pricing controls effective while identifying emerging risks before

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/math/analytics or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with data in tables and visuals.
• Strong documentation and process-improvement capabilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication for stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel; knowledge of SQL/Tableau/BigQuery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand product strategy, financial objectives, and pricing expectations to align control activities.
• Protect revenue and profitability by analyzing gross profit and pricing variations; review supplier contracts and pricing exceptions.
• Improve pricing accuracy and compliance through governance standards and policy adherence.
• Monitor pricing controls via metrics and dashboards; identify gaps and assess effectiveness.
• Identify emerging pricing issues early and drive corrective actions to avoid invoice disputes.
• Enable data-driven decision making with actionable insights and trend analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement by addressing root causes and ensuring sustainable actions.
• Promote cross-functional alignment to improve pricing performance and controls.
• Manage price realization initiatives and ad-hoc analyses to support business opportunities.
• Grasp pricing strategy concepts, commercial processes, systems, and controls.
