Dexterra Group is seeking a Prep Cook to prepare and cook all main meals to our high standards. You will handle meats, seafood, soups, poultry, vegetables and more, using methods from grilling to sautéing to deliver top-quality dishes.

Ensure FOODSAFE labeling and storage compliance, support menu planning and inventory, and keep the kitchen area clean and safe. The role requires at least 2 years in hospitality/food service, FoodSafe Level I, basic MS Office and WHMIS proficiency.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality/food service.
• FoodSafe Level I is minimum; SafeCheck/HACCP assets are a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Sysco software.
• Must pass WHMIS test at 80% or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook main meals to Dexterra standards.
• Cook a variety of items: meats, seafood, soups, poultry, vegetables.
• Use diverse cooking methods to produce high-quality meals.
• Ensure food delivery is consistent and labeled per FOODSAFE standards.
• Assist in plating, menu planning, inventory and grocery orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am–1:30 pm.
