Job summary

Otto's Cache in Jasper is seeking a reliable Prep Cook / Dishwasher to support our kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting cooks, and keeping work areas clean and organized. This role offers both full-time and part-time hours in a fast-paced café environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, able to multitask, and committed to food safety. Prior kitchen experience is welcome but not required; Food Safe certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/food service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills.
• Ability to follow directions and multitask.
• Food safety and sanitation awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for menu items (washing, chopping, measuring, portioning).
• Assist cooks and chefs with prep and assembly tasks.
• Set up and stock workstations with ingredients and supplies.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized prep and dishwashing areas.
• Support closing duties and restocking.
