Job summary

Otto's Cache is seeking a reliable Prep Cook to join Jasper’s first locally owned café and market. You will prepare ingredients, assist cooks, and maintain clean prep and dishwashing areas in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The role offers full-time and part-time shifts with a wage of $18–$22+ per hour, based on experience, plus hourly gratuities. Benefits include a daily meal, beverage perks, staff housing options for select candidates, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service is preferred
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills
• Food Safe Certificate is an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for menu items including washing, chopping, measuring and portioning
• Assist cooks and chefs with basic prep and assembly tasks
• Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing and prep areas
• Assist with garbage disposal, recycling and general kitchen cleaning
• Support closing duties, including cleaning and restocking
