Job summary

Overlanders Manufacturing LP in Abbotsford, British Columbia, is seeking a Welder to perform MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal and fabricated components. Training on robotic welding equipment is available; prior robotics experience is a strong asset but not required.

The role includes reading blueprints, maintaining safety and quality, and meeting production deadlines. Afternoon shift and training shift are provided, with compensation dependent on skill and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with robotic welding is considered a strong asset.
• Physically able to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal and fabricated components according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance, making adjustments or repairs as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to support fabrication and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with team members and production staff to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
