Job summary

  • 2–5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in manufacturing operations, with technical or college training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate Motoman robotic welding systems.
  • Monitor and maintain weld quality standards with support as needed.
  • Inspect welds, components, and assemblies for structural integrity and surface defects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all robotic and manual welding equipment.
  • Manage inventory for all welding consumables.
  • Oversee personnel within the welding cell, ensuring safety compliance, effective training, and efficient production.
  • Promote a clean and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings.
  • Monitor welding equipment for proper operation and temperature control.
  • Ensure compliance with Mac-Weld’s Quality Management System.

Working Conditions and Requirements
  • Full-time position in a manufacturing environment
  • Overtime may be required based on production demands

  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Lifting heavy material up to 50 lbs.
  • Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.

This is a full-time straight days position with the possibility of day/evening rotation shift in our Sarnia facility reporting to Production Manager.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
