Job summary

ABB Optical Group in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an Optical Lab Technician to support the timely processing of lab orders. The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, and involves measuring frames, matching paperwork, and preparing lenses for finishing.

You will operate finishing equipment, mount and tint lenses, and ensure accuracy and safety per SOPs. The role offers on-the-job training, a stable team environment, and a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level: training provided.
• Proficient: six months of optical manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frame, print and match paperwork to trays.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin for shipment.
• Mount, secure and align finished lenses in frames using precision tools.
• Tint lenses to specified colors and verify tint accuracy.
• Maintain tools and follow safety procedures in production areas.
