Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, or fluidic systems and familiarity with lab equipment.
  • Competency in programming for data processing and hardware control.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to detect subtle system changes before failures.
  • Strong teamwork across engineering and scientific disciplines.
  • Clear, concise technical reporting and bug descriptions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor electromechanical prototype instruments with precision.
  • Guard data quality and document observations to prevent corrupted data.
  • Collaborate with chemists, biologists and software engineers on instrument performance.
  • Develop scripts to automate data extraction and control test sequences.
  • Identify and document hardware or software issues and coordinate with Mechatronics/Systems teams to resolve them.
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance on delicate components to keep prototypes test-ready.
