Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Biomedical Engineering.
• 9+ years of experience in electromechanical hardware product design.
• Independence in execution from planning to results.
• Experience in design of experiments preferred.
• Hands-on fixture and device design and development experience preferred.
• Ability to determine testing strategy and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify robotic instruments and the interface with fluidic systems.
• Develop test methods, fixtures, and measurement tools to evaluate performance.
• Create CAD databases in SolidWorks for assemblies and drawings.
• Generate and execute test methods to establish root cause of defects.
• Document design and manufacturing procedures including BOMs and specs.
