Job summary

Select Finishing Ltd in Ontario is seeking a Painter in Operations - Production to apply primer, base coat, and clear coat to parts, ensuring full coverage and proper cleanup at shift end. The role requires 2–3 years in manufacturing and strong finishing process knowledge.

You will follow SOPs, maintain equipment, conduct inspections for quality, and support process improvements while working a Monday–Friday shift with occasional Saturday maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years in manufacturing, production, or general labour.
• Advanced knowledge of finishing processes and paint applications.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience mentoring or training teammates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows all health and safety policies, PPE use and manufacturer instructions.
• Reports safety concerns, incidents, equipment failures immediately.
• Follows Supervisor instructions and SOPs; reports discrepancies.
• Assists in implementing SOPs and records daily production data.
• Inspects parts for coverage; ensures QA standards are met.
• Tests materials and finished products for quality compliance.
• Sets up painting processes; verifies paint mix, viscosity and flow.
• Maintains paint booths and work area; clears end of shift.
• Investigates customer complaints and cost-improvement opportunities.
