Job summary

Kibbi in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate, test, and document a wide range of measurement instruments in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited lab. You will use traceable reference standards, prepare calibration certificates, maintain lab records, and contribute to continuous improvement, while communicating results professionally to customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read technical manuals and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, and document measurement instruments.
• Prepare calibration certificates and maintain lab records.
• Perform measurement uncertainty calculations when required.
• Verify calibration data and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and adjusting equipment failing calibration.
• Maintain laboratory reference standards and equipment.
• Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
