Job summary

ALS, a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing, is seeking a laboratory technician for the Instrumentation Maintenance team in Canada. You will perform maintenance, repairs, calibration, and adjustments of laboratory equipment, and assist with development of devices under development.

The role requires reading technical manuals and schematics, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under supervision while adhering to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduation required; post-secondary engineering/electrical courses are an asset.
• 2 years’ experience in electronics or a related electronics technology field.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics; strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, calibration, and adjustments of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with development and modifications of devices under development.
• Assist with shop organization and parts storage inventory and observe safety regulations.
