Job summary

Metro Testing + Engineering, Burnaby branch, is seeking a Field Testing Technician to join our growing team. You will travel to multiple job sites to test concrete, soils or asphalt and generate thorough test reports.

No experience is required as we provide comprehensive training and industry‑recognized certifications. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential for site travel across the Metro Vancouver area.

• Good command of the English language.

• Test concrete before pours and ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
• Interpret test results and produce clear reports.
• Build relationships with site personnel to foster long‑term collaboration.
• Travel to job sites across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, and surrounding areas.

The opportunity

Metro Testing + Engineering is one of the busiest and largest Construction Materials Testing Lab is Western Canada. We are looking for people who want to start a career as a Field Testing Technician. Our field testing technicians visit multiple job sites daily and they will test concrete, soils or asphalt. If you love to be on the road and meeting people, it could be your next opportunity.

No experience is required, and you will be trained by our experienced technicians and receive industry recognised certifications. you will be working at our Burnaby Branch Office.

What you will be doing

• Test concrete before the pour and ensure they meet the specifications and industry standards
• Interpret the test results and to produce reports
• Building relationship with site personnel to foster long term business collaboration
• Travelling to job sites in Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Moody and Port Coquitlam.

Who we are looking for

• Interested in career in the Construction Materials Testing industry
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
• Good command of the English language.
• Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs
• Experience as an General Labour/assistant at construction sites is an asset
• post secondary education in civil engineering is an asset but not required.
