Job summary

RBR Ltd. in Ottawa, ON seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to initiate, investigate, monitor, and report quality issues. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing Engineering & Quality teams to drive process and product improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time, on-site with core hours 9–5, and relies on detailed inspection, data review, and proactive problem solving to support climate-related instrumentation projects.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in quality inspection of mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Technical Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering data (drawings, schematics, specs).
• Proficient with computers and able to learn new software.
• Experience in machining/manufacturing facilities is an asset.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Well-honed organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic parts.
• Use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, testers) to inspect parts.
• Verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Investigate non-conformances and close quality tickets.
• Ensure correct disposition of defective parts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Review quality data to identify product/process improvements.
